About our walks
Hi everyone! 👋 The Board Walks are a second home for curious, kind, and open-minded people who love meaningful conversations. If that sounds like you, join us every Saturday at 8 AM to walk 5 miles (10,000 steps!) through Golden Gate Park.
We ask that you bring a thoughtful topic with you. Think of your topic like the dish you'd bring to your grandma's potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish, then we'll create the most epic 8 AM potluck on the planet. Be a good egg and make your grandma smile. (Check out some examples to get inspired.)
Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends from out of town... if you believe they'd deeply resonate with our values and love meaningful chats, bring 'em all. We have multiple first-timers on each walk and work very hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.

It all started back in July 2022, when a group of curious people showed up at a coffee shop and walked 5 miles together in Austin, Texas. Since then, they’ve completed 90+ walks — I extended my trip to Austin just so I could join for Austin Walk #50. I had SUCH an incredible experience. One thing led to another… and I've now hosted 30+ walks every Saturday since August 12th!
